This past weekend the Kennel Club of Philadelphia held the National Dog Show in Reading, PA.

Many beautiful dogs were showcased.  The Best in Show Winner was a gorgeous pointer named CH. Cookieland Seasyde Hollyberry, a truly great looking example of the breed.

The dog show will air on Thanksgiving Day on NBC.

We know most people want a puppy, but there are benefits to adopting an older dog. For instance you won’t be surprised by the size of your pet once he is fully grown, you are getting him at his full size.

As adults their exercise requirements will be less. So you won’t have to deal with a rambunctious pup running through the house.

You’ll know up front about any health or behavioral issues especially if you are dealing with a foster family through a rescue.
